B cells

B cells or B lymphocytes, are a type of white blood cell of the lymphocyte subtype. B cells are part of the of the adaptive immune system. They function in the humoral immunity component by secreting antibodies. Additionally, B cells present antigen (they are also classified as antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and secrete cytokines.
